Your First Day
This tutorial walks you through everything you need to do on your first day using TT Time Tracker. By the end, you will have signed in, installed the app on your phone, and submitted your first time entry.
Step 1 — Accept your invitation
Your admin sends you an invitation by email. Open the email and click the sign-in link.
If you don't see the email, check your spam folder. If it's still not there, ask your admin to resend it.
Step 2 — Sign in with Google
TT Time Tracker uses Google Sign-In. Click Sign in with Google and choose the Google account that matches your invitation email.
If your company uses Google Workspace, use your work account.
Step 3 — Choose your workspace
If you work for one company, you'll go directly to the app. If you have access to multiple workspaces, you'll see a list — tap the right one.
Step 4 — Install the app on your phone (recommended)
Installing the app makes it easier to use in the field.
On Android (Chrome):
- Tap the three-dot menu in Chrome
- Tap Install app or Add to Home Screen
- Confirm — an icon appears on your home screen
On iPhone (Safari):
- Tap the Share button (the box with an arrow) at the bottom
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen
- Tap Add — an icon appears on your home screen
After installing, open the app from your home screen instead of the browser.
Step 5 — Log your first time entry
- Tap the + button (or New entry) on the home screen
- Fill in:
- Date — today's date (pre-filled)
- Start time — when you started work
- End time — when you finished
- Project — select your project from the list (if your workspace uses projects)
- Task — select what type of work you did
- Note — optional, any comments for your admin
- Tap Save
Your entry appears in the list with a pending status. Your admin will review and approve it.
Step 6 — Upload an invoice (optional)
If you have a paper invoice to submit (e.g. for materials or fuel):
- Tap Invoices in the navigation
- Tap + to add a new invoice
- Tap the camera icon to take a photo of the invoice, or choose an existing photo
- Fill in any required details
- Tap Save
Your invoice will be processed automatically. The system reads the amounts and date from the photo — this usually takes less than a minute.
You're all set
You can now:
- Log time entries every day
- Check whether your entries have been approved (look for the green checkmark)
- Upload invoices as needed
